Definition of SFP Fiber Optic Transceivers:

Fiber optic transceivers are optoelectronic devices that convert Ethernet electrical signals into optical signals and vice versa. By converting electrical signals into optical signals for transmission over multi-mode or single-mode fiber optics, it breaks through the limitation of short transmission distance of cables, allowing Ethernet to achieve long-distance transmission of several kilometers or even hundreds of kilometers while ensuring high-bandwidth transmission using fiber optic media.
